Since the 1970s the Kiel Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology has been a pioneer in the field of endoscopy. Particularly under Professor Kurt Semm and Professor Liselotte Mettler, innovative ideas, methods and instruments were developed and the fundamentals for the application of endoscopy in gynaecology laid down. As a result, the Kiel Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology has a wealth of experience in the training of colleagues from home and abroad as well as in the endoscopic treatment of gynaecological disorders.
The Kiel School of Gynaecological Endoscopy sees itself as a modern-style training school. This applies to its very active educational function as well as its well-equipped training school and operating room. The Kiel School is a certified training centre of the German Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy (AGE).
On the website of the AGE you will find detailed explanations of endoscopic surgical procedures and their application for particular gynaecological disorders.
